After opening the registration channel for SIFF MARKET buyers, today, the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) has launched the buyer registration channel for SIFF PROJECT 2024. Known as an incubator for outstanding works, SIFF PROJECT is an important platform for the industry to discover new talents for the Chinese-language cinema. SIFF PROJECT will be unveiled from June 16 to 19 this year. We cordially invite global investors to register as buyers at SIFF PROJECT, and the registration deadline is set for May 20, 2024.

Application Steps

1. Log in to the official website (www.siff.com), click on “Registration/Submission” – “Visitor Registration”, select “SIFF PROJECT Buyer” – “Sign Up”, and log in or register to become an SIFF PROJECT buyer;

2. Fill out the relevant information and submit the application. After submitting the application, the organizing committee will review the qualifications of the applicants. If you need to revise the registration information, please log in to the “Visitor Center”;

3. Upon receiving the approval email, proceed to the payment. Upon successful payment, you will receive an email confirming your registration. Please obtain the visitor credentials following the instructions in the confirmation letter;4. After a successful application, the staff will contact you via email regarding the participation details.

Other Information

1. To provide more efficient industry matchmaking services, the organizing committee will review the professional qualifications of applicants and control the number of SIFF PROJECT buyer credentials issued;

2. To ensure broader industry participation, generally, the number of SIFF PROJECT buyer credentials approved for each company does not exceed three;

3. All negotiation meetings are organized by appointment only. SIFF PROJECT buyers can submit meeting requests online in advance, and if there are available meeting places at the event, on-site appointments can be made during the designated period;

4. Seats at public presentations and screenings of WIP are limited, so it is advisable to arrive early;

5. Each credential is for personal use only;

6. If guests are unable to participate in events of this SIFF PROJECT as buyers, they are welcome to register as observing guests or SIFF MARKET buyers to attend other official activities of SIFF. Please refer to the Notice to Guests on the official website for related privileges;

Since its inception in 2007, SIFF PROJECT has been successfully organized for 16 editions, witnessing 91 projects entering production. SIFF PROJECT, as an incubator for excellent works, is also an influential platform for the industry to discover new Chinese-language filmmakers. Dedicated to bridging industry resources, supporting new Chinese-language filmmakers, and promoting Chinese-foreign cooperation, SIFF PROJECT has gradually established four sub-units, namely, WORK-IN PROGRESS PROJECT (WIP), CO-PRODUCTION PROJECT, NEW TALENT PROJECT, and PRE-PRODUCTION PROJECT, which provide matchmaking services such as incubation, financing, and promotion services for projects at different stages.
